On August 26, 2023, Hibarigaoka Gakuen hosted the 71st Hanshin ESS Union Scenario Reading Contest with the support of the Kobe Shimbun. The contest held participants from 8 schools- Hibarigaoka Gakuen High School, Keimei Gakuin High School, Kwansei Gakuin Senior High School, Kobe College High School, Mukogawa Women's University High School, Shinwa Girls' Junior and Senior High school, Shoin Junior and Senior High School, and Shukugawa Junior and Senior High School.

The Hibarigaoka Gakuen Junior Senior ESS club was able to take 3rd place with their original scenario Curfew. Curfew was the story of a girl, Kate, learning to be honest and stand up to her school bullies.
